Clifford L. Dochterman served as the President of Rotary International from 1992 to 1993. Cliff became a Trustee of The Rotary Foundation from 1993 to 1999 and was a Chairman of the Rotary Foundation in 1997 to 1998. Cliff is attributed to the phrase, “Real Happiness is Helping Others.”
For his part in Rotary International endeavors, Dr. Dochterman has received Rotary International’s Distinguished Service Award. For service roles over a period of more than forty years in the Boy Scouts of America, the organization has recognized him with two of its highest honors, the Silver Beaver and Sliver Antelope awards. He also served the Stockton (California) Chamber of Commerce and the California Council for the Humanities in Public Policy. Served as Vice President at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, Dr. Dochterman previously held administrative positions with the Education Commission of the States in Colorado and at the University of California in Berkeley. He has published a number of articles on higher education.
